FEAPDA brings together associations of Teachers of the Deaf from all over Europe. The aim of FEAPDA is to represent and support Teachers of the Deaf by sharing good practice principally through organising a biennial congress hosted by one of the member countries.
Recently there have been several developments in FEAPDA's operations. An exciting initiative for combating the exclusion of deaf children by developing teacher training competencies through the Leonardo Project has been established among a number of organisations including FEAPDA. The Leonardo Project offers the best preparation for the future of Deaf Education moving towards an inclusive model of excellence and specialised, targeted support.
FEAPDA has an increasingly dynamic website and this, along with other developments, means that the interests of deaf children and young people in Europe have never been better identified and promoted.
